Rabbi Baroff will be with us this Friday to celebrate Shabbat. Lunch with the Rabbi will follow on Saturday at noon at the Temple, please bring your lunch....and do remember the dietary guidelines for eating at the Temple.
See you there!
We need your help to offer ours.
Please call me at the temple office (522-8685) when a family member is in the hospital or ailing. Too often we find out about illnesses, crises and hospitalizations after they occur. These are missed opportunities for calls and visits that may give comfort. Please let the temple know if there is a concern in your family or another family of our congregation (with their permission). We need your help in order to offer ours.
Blog Directions
I know this is a new format for some of you, so please look down at the box entitled "Blog Archives" and you'll see where it says MAY...under that are all the articles that have been published during the month of May. You may access them by clicking on the post and reading it. This will continue as the days click by, as new content is posted, it will either stay on the front page, or be moved to the archives. But it is always accessible. If you have ANY issue with how this works, please send me an e-mail luvbullbreeds@gmail.com and I'll help you through it.

A message from the Treasurer
With the approval of the new budget, one of the items we had to include was credit card fees. We encourage those who are comfortable with paying by check to do so whenever they can to save the temple fees for using the credit cards. But we also want people to know that if using a credit card is what they prefer that is absolutely fine too.
Also, did you know that if you donate to the temple you can earmark your donation for whatever you'd like? You can say "This is for the building fund." or "This is towards prayer books." or anything we spend money on if you so choose. As always, general donations allow the temple to use the money as needed but cause specific donations are an option as well.
Contributions to Temple B'Nai Israel
We greatly appreciate the people who support the temple by remembering and honoring their friends and loved ones through their generous contributions. Also through shopping in our gift shop and general donations.

NEW JUDAICA IN OUR GIFT SHOP
The Gift Shop will be open on the evening of the Annual Congregational Meeting on June 18. If another time would be more convenient, call Helaine who will arrange for you to meet with her or someone else at the temple.
Please use the gift shop to fulfill your Judaica needs and support our temple at the same time.
"If a Jew doesn't make Kiddush (to sanctify himself by maintaining a distinctly Jewish lifestyle), then the non-Jew will make Havdalah for him (by making the Jew realize he is truly different)."
